At first listen it’s a song about thinking all the awesome things about being 18 and young and in love will last forever. And then you listen carefully to all the words, especially the background words, you know it’s about how much of the things about being that age sucked.
The sound of the record scratching at the end is one of the most metaphorical sounds ever contained in a song.
